perm machines everywhere!

Has anyone noticed the number of vintage perm machines up for auction on ebay lately?  It's amazing how the machines came in different styles.  But one problem with all the machines on ebay is that none of them are complete.  I think because of that, they are going to be a tough sell.  I purchased three perm machines several months back, and I waiting for a few parts from another country before mine is complete.  I really hope to start filming the perm machine videos in September.

August has definately been a wacky month -- the deal with the video camera that I purchased yesterday fell through.  The guy pulled a bait and switch on me.  So I'll be looking to buy a camera elsewhere.

I now own the classic Oster 76 clippers.  I'll be adding it to my salon later today.  Right now we're trying to get everything together for a video shoot on the 29th.  I'll post more details when I have everything I need.

The bridal updo and makeup video is nearly finished (the basic editing -- the one pass through).  I will try to finish it up by early next week and maybe have it available on Friday, the 17th.

Theatre of Blood
I have a DVD copy of the movie "Theatre of Blood". The victim is roller set but the mad Shakespearian actor (Vincent Price) has attached electric wires to the rollers and electrocutes her. The victim (Coral Brown) becanme Price's wife in real life after this movie.
Another movie which shows a 1940's beauty parlour is "Sudie and Simpson" starring Lou Gossett Jr. It shows a woman being permed with a machine and there are other women having their hair done and sitting under hair driers.
I hope this is of some help to you.

P.S. You are doing a fantastic job. Thanks very much.
