fiction salon book & new polls

I just finished reading a fiction book, sent to me by Paul (thank you, Paul!) by Lynda Page called A Cut Above.  This story takes place in a hairdressing salon in the UK in the 1960s.  The main character is a hairdresser.  If you enjoy stories about salons, shampoos, and roller sets, you'll enjoy this book.

The ending was a bit unrealistic, but the rest of it was pretty good.  There's even a mention of the permanent wave machines of yore.  ;)

There are now three new polls on the Polls Page at HCF.  Thank you, Paul, for submitting them!
