various news and hair appointment

I have good news and bad news.  The bad news is that because of the economy, customers dying, and a greedy landlord, I'm not sure how much longer Carmen's Creative Hairstyling Salon in Columbia Heights will remain open.  I highly urge anyone who has ever wanted a perm or a set, to visit her beauty salon, located here in Minnesota.  Remember, men, she loves roller setting hair and doing your makeup.  Come dressed or bring your dress.  No embarrassment at her shop.  Sweet Carmen and her shop are one-of-a-kind.

Maybe if she can get more clientee she can stay open?  Let's hope so!  I'm having my hair bleached at her shop on Monday at 10 am (feel free to stop in and say hi, or to even have your hair done at the same time!).  I'll be sure to tip her well too.  I'll be shooting a 1950's baby cold wave perm there early next month.  I've added spring water to a jar of dried out Lustre-Creme Shampoo, which I believe is from the 1950's too, and the shampoo is soaking it up nicely.  (To think that lanolin is now used in flooring chemicals!)

Again, make an appointment and visit her lovely salon as soon as you can!

For good news, the preview clip for Calley's Barbershop Flat Top and Head Shave will be posted on several websites tomorrow.  The video will be released on Friday.
