Pele's hair

I was looking through my photo album, and I realized that when I blogged about Pele a few days ago, I forgot to include a photo taken of a lock of her hair.

The plaque below her encased hair reads:

Pele's hairs are thin, fragile strands of volcanic glass. They form when molten lava is ejected into the air during an eruption.

Because she is a goddess and lava is her normal hair texture, I would say her hair is natural, instead of synthetic. ;)
