My hair is chemically damaged, as I have my brunette roots coated in bleach at least once a month. If that wasn't enough, my hair would have to deal with me swimming in the salty ocean and chlorinated pools daily, washing my hair nightly, and being under the tropical sun. All would combine to further ruin my hair.
To avoid massive hair breakage, which would then have me pondering about shaving my head, I've been conditioning my hair nightly and then massaging in a leave-in treatment afterwords.
I love it, it makes my hair feel so soft and silky. I found a leave-in conditioner with UV shield, perfect for being out in the Hawaiian sun.
Another thing that I've been doing to my hair is gathering it into a ponytail (minus the rubber binder), and then clipping on a blond hair piece over it. I found this wonderfully matching hair piece at a thrift store. Here's a photo of me wearing this hair piece:
I'm so excited by this hair piece, because I know that in a couple of years or so, my hair will have actually grown this length.
Someone mentioned that I should take Sibu to grow my hair quicker, so I'll be looking for that on the Island.
