bad surprise in video

The more that I work on this Jana Goes to the Barbershop video, the more I think it might be a better idea just to put it away indefinitely.

The latest comes from this mirror shot.  I never noticed the camera guy in the background until now.

Why did he have to wear tan shorts?  This looks incredibly bad.  I swear that the camera man was a professional the entire time.

Tan shorts are now banned in my videos.

Stop beating yourself. Movie history is full of gltches like that. My favorite is in the Alistair Sims (1948?) British version of "A Christmas Carol," in which when Scrooge looks at his reflection in the mirror in the morning.. If you look carefully you can see the sound engineer sitting off to the side with earphones on. Very few people noticed it until Ted Turner colorized the film.

Re: Camera guy in view
Very true. There's one movie where Jack Black is in, something about him seeing fat women as skinny, and the boom mike is accidentally lowered into the scene.

Jana Goes to the Barbershop does have some very nice shots too. I'll be posting those tomorrow before I leave town.

No, no no! I love that you have high standards, but I really want to see Jana's haircut.

It looks like it's in focus; I call that a win.

She does get a fantastic flat top. The barber is extremely talented.

You have a good point. I'll finish editing the video.

You hate a train wreck, but you still watch :-)
I know this frustrates you as a true professional, but at some point, you kind of have to step outside and revel in the obscurity of event...

In my line of work, we look at these events and say ...

"Well, it can always serve as a bad example!"

Hardly Noticeable
Had you not pointed him out, I'd have never noticed. It's NOT the background people are looking at. Looks to me as though you've got a mighty fine video in the making. Don't be overly hard on yourself. You do great stuff.
