meeting me

Carmen and I were chatting the other day, and she asked me if I could schedule some time to meet some people.  She said that a number of people have called her shop to schedule appointments, but when they did, they also asked if Carmen could arrange to have me stop by because her clients wanted to meet me.  I said yes.

So if you'd like to have your hair done at Carmen's and you'd like me to stop by for a quick chat, please set your appointment during the week, between the hours of 9 am to 1:30 pm.

Some people have asked if Carmen could do hair in my salon.  No.  My salon is for videos only, and I'm no longer going to create videos featuring men.  Some have asked Carmen if I could help do their hair.  I'm sorry, but no.  I have no talent in dressing hair.  That's why I hire stylists and barbers.  :)  I could do a shampoo, leg shave,  or something that requires no special talent, but I would have to be paid for my time.

In other news, I believe that I can have Angel's bowl cut haircut video up on Friday.  Once I finish Pat's mullet video, I will be taking a break from haircutting videos, so that I can delete Pinnacle from my computer, and install and learn Adobe Premier and After Effects.  I promised that I'd learn some creative video manipulation to help on a friend's video.

In 2010, I hope to become more knowledgeable about technology so that I can do some cool stuff to my videos.  I would really really love to learn how to create 3-D videos.  (Not the boring kind that you need red and green/blue glasses, and the colors just look so off and fake).  But I'll worry about that after the Escape movie, and Severe Changes are done and out.

Re: 3D movie
I don't know yet. I have to install and learn the software first! I may have to buy a third-party software to create a 3-D movie. But it's on my list of things to do. I have a lot planned for this upcoming year. :)

why no more men
Out of curiosity, why are you no longer doing videos with men? Did they not make money? Given the large male perm segment, I am surprised. Anyway, the best to you and yours in the new year.

Re: why no more men
My videos cost at least $1,000 to make. Guy videos don't make enough to pay for the stylist.
