1920s-looking barbershop in St. Peter, Minnesota

Oh my, oh my!  I came across this awesome 1920's looking barbershop during my travels this past weekend.

This shop is so very authentic -- large mirror, several 1920's barber chairs (one was a Koen, others Emil J. Paidar) all in working condition.  The white sinks attached to the wall.  Lots of vintage barbershop bottles.

1920s B&W films play on the tv.

The barber and owner, Nate, is a wonderful guy.  He sported a hot, rockabilly hairstyle.  I asked, and yes, he knows how to use a straight-edge razor....as did all barbers in that era.

I would absolutely LOVE to to a video in his shop.  Unfortunately, the distance is kind of sucks for me.  But maybe next year?

Anyway, if you're looking for a true, retro/vintage barbershop that has a talented barber, I highly recommend a visit to

Nate's Barbershop.
