hair blog, cartoon, ad

Here's a Head & Shoulder's ad from the Sunday paper yesterday:

Purple and yellow are the colors of the Minnesota Vikings (American football team).

I'll have to try the ribbons when my hair is long again.  :)

Also from yesterday, this Garfield cartoon:

Hopefully, by clicking on it, it will show larger.  Otherwise, I will put a larger copy on the HUMOR page of the HCF website.

Now to update the hair blog.

I had colored my hair red with a semi-permanent hair dye last month.  (See one of the entries tagged "my hair adventures.")  The following photo was taken June 12th.  It shows the Scalp end, bulb in scalp.  Fuzzy end is the blood vessels.  Perm looks tight, but see no bad cuticles.  mg 225 x using a 20x lens.

This next photo shows the hair follicle enlarged about 1100x.  Photo taken 12. June 2009.  Objective 60x.  Each cuticle (the wavy, vertical dark line) shows one hour growth.

The last photo is hair from last April 2008, and shows the March perm #2.  Magnification is 625x.

All photos courtesy of James and his hard work.  Photos were taken with a Nikon D80, with a shutter speed of 125 or more.

please check your emails

I don't know why, but lately I've been receiving orders from people whose email addresses are bad.  If you have placed an order from me, and have not received an automated email nor an email from me within a day, please check your email address and/or get a new one.  Most of these email addresses have been outside the USA, if this helps to narrow it down.
