Japanese face shave & German perm windup

Yesterday I had my hair set in curlers for the Japanese face shave.  I found a cute buttoned blouse that has a high button collar, and wore that with a short tan skirt.  I felt like I was getting ready to go to the office instead of enjoying a relaxing face shave and massage!  :)  But it´s fun to have either myself or my models dress up for these exciting videos.

Piergiorgio had sent me a nice old-fashioned barber cape and pin, that later covered me in the salon.  (Thanks, Piergiorgio!).  And Wilfried provided the lovely white barberette jacket and red binding belt.  (Thank you too!)  I always try to use the things people send me for the videos; it sometimes just takes awhile before I use them -- so many videos to make, but so little time.

My face is very smooth after a Japanese face shave and an incredible face massage.  Plenty of hot towels were used, and a machine providing steam covered my face in a warm cloud.  I didn´t want to leave the chair!  When I get back to the States, I´ll have to see if there´s a Japanese salon in my area.

Today I go for a traditional German windup perm.  Water will be used instead of perm solution.  Someone had requested to see this.  It seems that the German perm rods are a bit different to the American ones.  :)

All the videos that are being done here in Germany will have mostly German speech with some English.

Because I have so much footage, I´ll start a poll of

head full of tight curls

Wow, I never had so many or so tight of curls before!  We got some photos, but they will have to wait until I get back to the States as this computer I am using does not have any photo software.

Yesterday, we filmed me removing the curlers.  I think it turned out great.  I´ll put the whole thing on youtube.com when I get to that footage.  It was nice relaxing with my barefeet up and removing the curlers after a long day´s work.

I hope to set up a cape video shoot soon.  I hope to hire several models for that.  First I need to see when my favorite barbershop has room for me to set up this filming.  There are just so many different kinds of capes: shampoo, styling, haircutting, and combing out.  I`m sure I missed naming a couple.  I think it would be a great idea to have each kind of cape modeled off so people can see the difference.  Any models in the Minneapolis area interested in modeling off capes should contact me.  I do already have a list, but I`m always adding to that list.
